The 2018 Mazda CX-5 offers only one engine with 187 hp and 186 lb-ft of torque. This is a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine with cylinder deactivation and is paired with a 6-speed transmission. The fuel economy on this model is 31 mpg highway which is just a bit less than the top 2018 Encore engine.

The body structures of the hood bend makes the front bulkier than some would subjectively find appealing. The red paint is what Mazda is known for, but a nice black or blue would add some much-needed refinement to this model.
