Sierra 1500 Engines

There are four different powertrains available in the line of Sierra 1500 models. They are as follows:

• 3L EcoTec3 V8
  • 355 horsepower

• 7L turbocharged 4-cylinder
  • 310 horsepower
  • 348 pound-feet of torque
  • 9,200 pounds max conventional trailering capacity
  • 2,182 pounds max payload
• 0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel I6
  • 277 horsepower
  • 460 pound-feet of torque
  • 15,000 pounds max conventional trailering capacity
  • 2,378 pounds max payload

Sierra Heavy Duty Engines

There are two different powertrains available in the line of Sierra HD models. They are as follows:

• 6L V8
  • 401 horsepower
  • 464 pound-feet of torque
  • 24,000 pounds max conventional trailering capacity
  • 3,798pounds max payload
• 6L Duramax Turbo-Diesel V8
  • 445 horsepower
  • 910 pound-feet of torque
  • 26,000 pounds max conventional trailering capacity
  • 4,626 pounds max payload
