What are memory seats in automotive terms? 

The term memory seats might make you think of a similarly named mattress, which is known for its plush fabric. However, memory seats in automobiles are not related to those popular mattresses. They are seats in cars that can remember and store your preferred positioning. This allows you to quickly adjust your seats back to your preferred position after another driver uses your car.

Steps to adjusting and saving your seat position in a Buick 

Follow along with the video above or read through these simple steps to adjust and save your seat position.  

1. Use the side controls on your seat to adjust your seat. These buttons are located along the side of your seat toward the door. These buttons can raise, lower, move forward, move backward, and recline your seat up or down. There is also a button to adjust the lumbar support.  
2. Use memory seats to store your preferred settings. Press SET and hold the 1 or 2 button to store your setting in that respective button. These buttons are located on the door near the lock and unlock buttons.  
3. Return your seat to your preferred setting. To return your seat to the setting, simply press the button that you used to store those same settings.
