Android Auto allows you to control music, maps, apps, and more through your vehicle’s infotainment system. If you have a lot of music on your phone, it’s nice to be able to bring that on the road with you. Watch the video and follow along to get started. 

Steps to connecting your Android phone wirelessly  

If you don’t have a phone USB cable handy, don’t worry. You can set up your Android Auto experience wirelessly in your Buick. Just follow these steps or watch the video above for a visual guide. 

  1. First, you must download the Android Auto app to your phone.  
  2. Make sure Bluetooth is enabled in your phone’s settings. 
  3. On your infotainment screen in your Buick, touch “Phone,” then “Connect Phone,” then “Add Phone.” 
  4. On your phone, select your vehicle from your phone’s Bluetooth Settings list. 
  5. Your phone will give you a six-digit code to key into your Buick infotainment system. This prevents unauthorized phones from pairing with your vehicle. Type in the code and tap “Pair” to start the pairing process. 
  6. Now you can wirelessly control apps, maps, music, and more.

What if you’re having trouble connecting your Android device to your Buick? 

If the steps above didn’t work, try again with a stronger phone signal. You can also use a USB cable to set up a wireless connection, by temporarily plugging your phone into your vehicle, which may be an option if the Bluetooth pairing isn’t working. Make sure you have the app downloaded on your phone and a properly equipped vehicle. Not every vehicle offers wireless Android Auto.
