Fourth of July events and activities in Roswell and Alpharetta, Georgia
Summer festivities are well underway and many of us are making plans for Independence Day already. If you don’t have plans yet, don’t worry. There’s plenty to do in Roswell and the nearby city of Alpharetta. We’d love to see you here at Carl Black Roswell sometime soon for an oil change or test drive.
Annual 4th of July Fireworks Extravaganza
Taking place right in Roswell Area Park is this Fireworks Extravaganza. Parking begins at 5 PM for this event, but the activities start an hour later at 6. There will be live music and food trucks. Tents are allowed until 8:15 PM. Be sure to bring snacks, sunscreen, and your own chair or blanket to comfortably watch the fireworks. This should be a relaxing family event, and the park offers a centrally located playground and fields for the kids to play in.
Independence Day Family Canoe Day
If you want to celebrate Independence Day without staying out late or watching fireworks, this event is the one for you. From 10:30 AM to noon, CNC’s Beaver Pond will host a family canoe program with races and games. The cost is $20 per kid or adult ages 6 and older. The price includes admission to Chattahoochee Nature Center, so plan on exploring and spending some time at the park before or after you go canoeing.
