How to use Google Maps in your GMC vehicle 

If your GMC model is equipped with Google Maps, there will be an icon for it on your vehicle’s infotainment screen. If your vehicle does not have a touchscreen, then it doesn’t have Google Maps. If it does, scroll through your apps to check for it. Then follow these steps to use Google Maps. 

  1. Tap on the Google Maps icon on your infotainment touchscreen display. 
  2. Sign in to your Google account. You will need a Gmail account to sign into.  
  3. Enter your destination with one of these two methods: 
    1. Tap the microphone icon in the top-right corner of the screen and speak your destination, or 
    2. Tap the search bar in the top-left corner of the screen and type in a location or address and select your destination from the list of options. 
  4. Choose one of the available routes displayed on the infotainment screen. The route and estimated time to complete the route will be displayed.  
  5. If your preferred route is not showing, tap on routing options to refine your directions. 
  6. Tap start to begin navigation.
