2021 Buick Envision Performance & Propulsion
We’ve been talking about the 2021 Buick Envision all month long. Now that it’s officially available right here at Carl Black Roswell, we wanted to make sure you were aware of everything that’s new and exciting in the vehicle. We’ve been focusing on the interior cabin the past couple of weeks, even putting a special emphasis on the redesigned center console. But today, we’re turning finally to analyze the crossover’s performance & propulsion.

Beneath the hood of the all-new 2021 Buick Envision rests a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. It’s capable of generating up to 228 horsepower alongside 258 pound-feet of torque, with technologies such as direct injection and Stop/Start technology built-in. The engine is tethered to a 9-speed automatic transmission that features electronic shift control technology, and you can opt for an available all-wheel drive system that features an electronically controlled twin-clutch operation.
Brakes & Handling
The vehicle comes standard with a four-wheel-disc brake system, as well as technologies like StabiliTrak stability control, traction control and electronic grade braking. Handling is further enhanced by an on-demand, driver-select system that includes a few modes to choose from. FWD models feature Tour, Snow/ICE and Sport modes, while AWD models offer Tour, AWD, Off-road and Sport modes.
Additional Performance Features
Performance is further enhanced by features like Hill Descent Control, which comes standard on AWD models, electric power steering, a McPherson strut front suspension system and a five-link independent rear suspension system. All models come standard with 18” wheels or you can opt for larger 20” wheels. Finally, Continuous Damping Control technology – which is an electronically controlled real-time damping system – is available on the Avenir trim level.
