  • Overview

    Grey 2018 Buick Enclave

It’s called Buick’s Big-Box SUV, but that name hardly does it justice. The 2018 Buick Enclave may seem larger than the average compact SUVs on the market, but while the interior is spacious and roomy, the exterior is far from boxy. The 2018 Buick Enclave is beautifully stylized with a sculptured shape. Critics are bowled over by how good-looking this vehicle is. It seemed impossible for any vehicle to have this standard of luxury while also maximizing cargo-space. Alongside improved handling and all of the latest technology updates, it seems Buick is proving everyone wrong!
The Enclave has that special Buick flourish, trims that are exceptionally stylish and technological components that add to its luxurious feel. The 2018 Buick Enclave has everything you would expect in a brand-new sports utility vehicle, and with a price tag, you won’t believe.

If you combine that with the muscular 310-horsepower V6, you have yourself one exciting machine! We know buyers want power and precision, and at first glance, the 2018 Buick Enclave looks like so much more than just an SUV. 2018 Buick Enclave Efficiency on Dashboard

The 2018 Buick Enclave’s EPA estimated fuel-economy ratings surpasses many other large and mid-size vehicles in its class. Fuel economy checks in at a 21-mpg combined on all front-drive models. That’s amazing for a vehicle much larger than many compact SUVs that do just as about as well.

Given many extensive fuel-economy tests, The 2018 Buick Enclave surpassed expectation while being testing for real-time driving. One test was a 200-mile out-and-back loop on Michigan’s I-94 highway. The GPS-verified speed of 75 mph was consistent with cruise control. The Enclave outperformed expectation.

  • Technology

    2018 Buick Enclave Key faab

The beauty of the dash is nothing without the digital gauges, touchscreens, and the plethora of buttons and switches that occupy it. Included are three-zone automatic climate control and six USB ports. The 2018 Buick Enclave’s upgraded trims feature an 8.0-inch central touchscreen interface.

But as always Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard with the cutting-edge 4G LTE WiFi connectivity, as shown on a 4.2-inch color display in the instrument cluster. But imagine the output on a staggeringly large and even more detailed 8.0-inch unit in that upgraded trim.

You’ll love listening to the HD radio through the six-speaker audio system. And of course, you the SiriusXM satellite radio is standard with any streaming audio you can get through your smart devices via Bluetooth, USB, or an auxiliary input jack.

The Apple CarPlay and Android Auto can also work as GPS with compatible smartphones.

  • Design

2018 Buick Enclave on the street

Describing the 2018 Buick Enclave’s stylistic qualities requires delving into how well the exterior has been sculpted. Everything on the Enclave is contoured from the exterior to the interior.

Designers obviously knew what buyers wanted when they created the exterior body of the 2018 Buick Enclave. From its front end to its tail, the new Enclave is no longer bottom-heavy. Designers and engineers lowered the Enclave’s nose giving it a sleeker look. On the front end, the Buick logo splits the waterfall style grille with a nice accent of wide, thin wings. The grille even has vertical slats on most versions, some that look like mesh. And nothing looks better next to it than Buick’s superior LED headlights.

The next eye-catching element is the elegant side view, which is lined beautifully and makes this SUV cutting-edge. Metallic trim flows in arcs from the tail to the side mirrors, sweeping up below windows and to the roof. The stylist black trim is its ultimate flourish. The design almost looks like a signature or a styling sketch. Some SUVs have attempted this much luxury in the past, but this year the 2018 Buick Enclave has mastered it.

One look at the interior will almost make you forget the exterior. You will not believe how cavernous it looks. And a closer look at the dashboard shows you how it was designed to seamlessly flow across the cabin and into the door panels.

Everything inside is accented with a dark wood and metal-look. Everything looks soft to the touch and luxuries abound. All materials used are of the highest quality, down to the woodgrain trim on the leather-wrapped steering wheel.

Everything within reach is nice to look at. It’s clear designers of the 2018 Buick Enclave wanted to spruce up the cabin. It has a luxurious yet rustic look with brown and black leather upholstery. It has meticulous detail down to the contrast piping and stitching. Even the headrests are embroidered.

The atmosphere inside the Enclave gives a warm, comforting feel, with an air of sophistication. With seven seats: two front row, second-row captain’s chairs, and third-row bench for three, all able to slide and recline. The amount of legroom available has been called “limo-like.”

Overall, the 2018 Buick Enclave silhouette and pristine, comfortable cabin, sets it apart.

  • Performance

2018 Buick Enclave driving on the street

The 2018 Buick Enclave has a single powertrain combined with front or all-wheel drive. The 310 hp V-6 engine purrs beautifully, even if slightly muted due to noise cancellation. With such a powerful V-6, you can just imagine it roaring down the highway. It starts off strong when going 0-60 mph in 6.4 seconds. It quickly carries all of its weight and cargo, because it now has less curb weight.

Buick’s revamping, making for even more drivability, is the inclusion of a fast shifting 9-speed automatic. Paddle controls and a semi-manual mode come with the shifter, and because of this, it has already out-driven other 9-speeds in its class.

The 2018 Buick Enclave’s suspension and adaptive shocks allow all-weather terrain to never be an issue. Steering has improved vastly as well, with much better on-center accuracy.
