Performance

2018 GMC Sierra 1500

When it comes to towing and accelerating the GMC Sierra is one of the brightest stars in the automotive industry. With an impressive towing potential of 12,500 pounds the 2018 Sierra is in on a level the 2018 Nissan Titan just can’t match. The selection of muscular V6 and V8 engines allows for a max horsepower over 420 and a max of 460 lb-ft of torque. Overall the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 does its job and does it beyond your expectations.

2018 Nissan Titan

The 2018 Nissan Titan offers one 5.6L V8 engine with a respectable 390 hp and 394 lb-ft. This does not give drivers any options and only offers a max towing capacity of 9,740 pounds, but it still is a fairly tough truck that knows how to handle itself remarkably well. When comparing it to the 2018 Sierra, the 2018 Nissan Titan just can’t help but looking as though it is lacking in a lot of areas, and performance is just another one them.

The 2018 Sierra may be a beast on the outside, but on the inside, it is an elegant beauty designed with state-of-the-art tech and materials.
The heated and ventilated perforated leather seating with contrast stitching paired with the quiet and spacious cabin with soft-touch instruments will keep you comfortable and relaxed every mile of the way. Which is excellent for your mental and physical health.
The 7 or 8-inch GMC infotainment system will allow you to connect anywhere anytime. There are also many impressive safety features that not only protect by prevent accidents such as forward collision warning, park assist, lane keep alert, and so much more. You also will be thrilled by the advanced 4×4 technology that makes off-roading as simple as a walk in the park.
Overall, the technology of the 2018 GMC Sierra, hits every category you care about from fun to safety.

2018 Nissan Titan

The 2018 Nissan Titan also has a fair number of technological and comfort features. A let down is the lack of high-grade material with impressive detailing and luxurious cabin features such as automatic dual climate control. That being said, it does offer a Bluetooth system similar to the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 that allows for hands-free texting and calling while driving by connecting with your personal smartphone. This is likely to improve the safety of driving in this car, as well as offer a convenient way to stay connected. Sadly the infotainment system only comes with a 5 or 7-inch display, so the entrainment and the convenience of it is a little less impressive than the 2018 Sierra. This model does offer a 12-speaker sound system that will be sure to impress your ears. The Safety tech is fairly up to par with plenty of alert systems in place as well as the typical airbag system.
Overall, while it may be sufficient when it comes to technology availability, it most certainly does not offer the same sense of luxury as the GMC Sierra and will be a letdown for anyone who has experienced what the Sierra has to offer.

Value

2018 GMC Sierra 1500

The 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 has as an impressively affordable starting price of $29,000. This includes a respectable list of standard features and a powerful V6 engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. You will also get such luxuries as a 7-inch infotainment system with smartphone connectivity for entertainment, a rear vision camera for safety, cruise control for performance, and air conditioning for comfort without a penny more required. This is only the start though because as you move up the trim levels and eventually to the famous Denali trim, the value just seems to increase even further.
On top of this, the fuel economy is just as impressive with 24 mile per gallon highway, which is impressive for a truck of its size and performance. You will also be able to cut costs on configuration options by choosing a more affordable regular or double cab design, which is generally are more efficient in towing even if they lack the ability to hold the larger engines. Overall, this is a truck that truly understands how to properly value itself and the drivers who invest in them.

2018 Nissan Titan

The 2018 Nissan Titan has a higher starting price than the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 which hits over $30,000. Sadly even with the increase in price, this model only a few standard features as a 5-inch display infotainment system, rearview monitor, and remote keyless entry. Also considering the Titan only offers the same V8 engine with every trim level, there isn’t much to say about upgrading the powertrain to increase the value much further. At the start, it isn’t very impressive, and going up doesn’t seem worth the extra price without getting a better powertrain.
When we look at the fuel economy, you will also find that the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 continues to pull ahead by at least 3 mpg considering the 2018 Titan only offers a max of 21 mpg highway. You will also never be able to invest in a more affordable and towing-friendly regular or double cab for the 2018 Titan due to Nissan only offering this model in a larger and more expensive crew cab design. The 2018 Nissan Titan just seems to start high and aim low when it comes to overall value.
