For the 2022 model year, GMC is bringing a few updates and changes to the Canyon pickup truck. For starters, the available High Elevation package has been renamed the Elevation Premium package. More exciting, however, is the brand-new Denali Black Edition. This special edition package is only available on Denali trim levels, and it upgrades the already luxurious pickup truck with 20” low-gloss black wheels, a set of black assist steps, GMC gloss-black exhaust tip and a set of all-weather floor liners.While the 2022 GMC Canyon comes standard with a 2.5L 4-cylinder engine capable of generating 200 horsepower alongside 191 pound-feet of torque, there are two available options to which you can upgrade instead. The first is a 3.6L V6 that delivers much more power in the form of 308 hp and 275 lb-ft. of torque, while the second is a 2.8L turbodiesel that generates 181 hp and 369 lb-ft. of torque.
