The Buick Envision has been around on the lineup here in North America for several years now, having initially been released for the 2016 model year. It even underwent a mid-generational facelift last year for 2019. But now, it’s time for the Envision to enter its second generation, as the 2021 Buick Envision will be an all-new crossover here in Roswell GA.
What’s new in the 2021 Envision?
At the time of this page’s creation, details on the all-new 2021 Buick Envision are still slim. Exact specifications haven’t been released for things like power or fuel efficiency, but we do know that the 2021 Envision will be powered by a 2.0L 4-cylinder turbocharged engine tethered to a nine-speed transmission. While we could be getting a new powertrain altogether, those figures make it seem more likely that the new Envision will be powered by the same powertrain as the current all-wheel drive Premium and Premium II trim levels.
Aside from its powertrain, we already know of quite a few updates coming to the 2021 Envision. Perhaps the biggest and most exciting news is that the Envision nameplate will be offered with the top-of-the-line premium Avenir trim level for the first time ever. The 2021 Envision will also mark the first time Buick has employed a 10” touchscreen infotainment system, and it will include several applications like built-in Amazon Alexa, Spotify, Pandora and Fox Sports among others.
We also know that the Envision will be offered with a plethora of standard and available driver-assistive safety technologies. To learn about which will be standard and which will be available, you can head to our blog on the topic, where we list out both. As more information becomes available regarding the all-new 2021 Buick Envision, we’ll be sure to fill you in right here on our blog, so be sure to check back often.
